How to block some websites from children

Time has been changed and gadgets has been more closest to the youngers, maximum children are using gadgets everyday, due to this they do not pay attention to their own study, various parents has complain about their children for using internet  leaps & bounds . Internet has been more popular amongst the children and older person various children are using internet ,they waste their maximum time on social networking websites like Facebook,MySpace,Orkut,Twitter  and many more.

Due to this they don't pay attention for their study,at this time parent should worry about their child, they should not take it easily , if their child is spending more time on internet  then they make their child understand and should introduce about bad results about that.

Parents should keep watching their child activities on internet they should know which site their child use mostly , if the website is adult or social networking,then they should block this type of website.

These are some simple steps to block certain website from your child.

Step-1.Click the Start button and select Run. Now type the following text in that Run box:
 
notepad c:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

Step 2: You will see a new notepad window on your screen containing some cryptic information. Don’t panic. Just goto the last line of the file, hit the enter key and type the following:


127.0.0.1 orkut.com
127.0.0.1 facebook.com
127.0.0.1 myspace.com

Save the files that's it . Now none of above sites will open on your PC ,you can block other various websites using above method in step1&2 .


If you want to unblock these sites. Then revise step-1 and delete the line on step-2 for related websites.
